The impact of conductor material on performance: Conductor material is the most important part of the cable assembly, which directly affects the conductive performance and transmission performance of the cable. Common conductor materials are copper and aluminum. The main reason why copper conductors are superior to aluminum conductors is that they have high electrical conductivity and can provide better conductivity while having lower resistance and power loss, which is very important for long-distance transmission and high-load circuits. For example, in outdoor and high-temperature environments, polyvinyl chloride (PVC) sheathing materials can provide better weather resistance and heat resistance; while in flammable environments, low-smoke halogen-free materials such as polyurethane (TPU) and cross-linked Polyethylene (XLPE), etc. are more suitable for use because they have good flame resistance and low smoke properties and will not produce a large amount of toxic gases once they catch fire.


In addition to the impact of the above main materials on performance, other auxiliary materials such as fillers, lubricants, shielding layers, etc. will also have an impact on the performance of the cable. The filler material can fill the gaps between the conductors and improve the mechanical strength and electrical performance of the cable; the lubricant can reduce the friction between the conductor and the insulation layer, reducing the noise and loss of the cable; the shielding layer can isolate the cable from interference with external electromagnetic fields. Improve the cable's anti-interference ability.
